Adobe Creative Cloud will be a
comprehensive offering of creative services, Adobe Creative Suite desktop
applications, Adobe Touch Apps, and community features that together will
radically redefine the content creation process. Some features are available
today. The full offering will be available in 2012.
Adobe Creative Cloud is a major new
initiative that will radically redefine the content creation process and become
the focal point for creativity. It will reinvent creative expression through a
new generation of applications and services that reimagine how people interact
with creative tools and build deeper social connections between creatives
around the world.
Components
of Adobe Creative Cloud
Adobe Creative Cloud will be a
complete solution of creative services, the full offering of Adobe Creative
Suite® desktop applications, and Adobe Touch Apps, as well as community
features that will enable both new and existing customers to go beyond content
creation on the desktop to creating and publishing across channels and
media.
The first features of Adobe Creative
Cloud to launch include capabilities uniquely designed to manage creative files
across multiple devices with Adobe Touch Apps. You will be able to use Adobe
Creative Cloud to access files created in Adobe Touch Apps or Adobe Creative
Suite on your tablet or computer for further refinement or presentation. Use
Adobe Creative Cloud to view creative files in a web browser, with the ability
to see various layers, artboards, or pages and share your creative files with
virtually anyone, anywhere.
When full membership plans become
available in the first half of 2012, Adobe Creative Cloud membership options
are expected to also include the following:
·
Applications
— Access to the entire portfolio of Adobe Creative Suite desktop tools, as well
as the six Adobe Touch Apps announced at MAX. That means customers will get
every tool that is currently in Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, such as
Adobe Photoshop®, InDesign®, Illustrator®, Dreamweaver®, Adobe Premiere® Pro,
and After Effects®, as well as innovative new tools that are currently in beta,
such as Adobe Edge and Muse.
·
Services
— Key Adobe Digital Publishing Suite technologies, for delivering interactive
publications on tablets; a tier of Adobe Business Catalyst®, for building and
managing websites; and new design services, such as the ability to use
cloud-based fonts for website design via technology acquired by Adobe through
its acquisition of Typekit Inc. These services will help customers go way
beyond what they can do with the desktop tools only today.
·
Community —
Adobe is still finalizing this piece of Adobe Creative Cloud; however,
capabilities might include a way to present and share creative work and ideas
with peers around the world, and a forum for feedback and inspiration that will
foster connections between creative people. Adobe Creative Cloud will
become a focal point for anyone creative.
How will I be able to participate in
Adobe Creative Cloud?
Adobe Creative Cloud will be a
subscription-based membership with a choice of a one-year plan for a lower
monthly payment — with a commitment to remain a subscriber for 12 months — or a
month-to-month plan that allows you to stop and restart the subscription as
your needs change.
In addition to the paid membership,
some of the features of Adobe Creative Cloud may be accessible on a
complimentary basis, including creative file management, storage, and access
and other community features.
