How to Create Windows 8 System Image


Hit Windows logo button + F on your keyboard. On performing this action, a small search window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image. In this new window you find a search bar. In this search bar type backup your files and click on settings tab. On performing this action you will get few results. In this result window click on icon labelled as backup your data.


 
On clicking this icon, a new window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image. In this new window click on Create a system image.



 
 
 
On performing this action, a new window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image. This window searches for backup devices available if any.


 
 
If you are creating image for first time then you will be led to the window which is similar to shown in below image, in this window select where you prefer to save your image backup. 

 
 
            Now here I have selected a local drive to save my system’s image. After selecting click on Next button.
 

 On clicking this button, you will be led to another window as shown in below image. This window shows which drive’ files will be saved in the image. In this window click on Start backup button.

 
 
On clicking this button, image creation process begins. This might take few minutes.


 
 

 
On completion of this process, a new window will appear on your screen, as shown in below image. This window is dedicated to start system repair disc. If you want to create system repair disk then click on Yes button and proceed (to create this you need an empty DVD to store all information).



 
 
On completion of this process, you will get a window which is similar to as shown in below image. This completes the image creation process click on Close button to complete the process.
